I bought this travel towel and it is 3.1 ounces including the pouch and does an excellent job of absorbing all the water from your body. . I wasn't sure if a 12x24 would be big enough but I'm a very light traveler so I decided to take a chance and get a small one. It turns out that 12x24 is the perfect size for one person as long as I'm not trying to dry my hair too much. I also like that there is a snap on the handle or "hook" so you can clip it to the side of your pack to hang dry while hiking. I would definitely recommend this to other travelers, but if you do water sports you might want to look at stronger, more absorbent towels.
