Review on 🎧 BTECH APRS-K1 Cable: High-Quality Audio Interface for BaoFeng, BTECH BF-F8HP, UV-82HP, UV-5X3 (APRSpro, APRSDroid Compatible - Android, iOS) by Tim Wheeler

So I bought an EBay Easi-Digi interface for $40 and it works great. I'm at CERT and we're starting to use SSTV to send disaster damage images back to the EOC. As you can see in the image shown there is enough space for your callsign for legal reasons and there is also space for the date and time as well as space for the USNG map coordinates to allow first responders to have the exact time/date and location know where the picture was. recorded. I wanted to try this cable because it's half the price of an eBay interface and I think more CERT people would want to try it if it wasn't $40. Well I have the same problems as everyone else. Once the SSTV application appears in the foreground and center, the radio keeps turning on every few seconds. Used iPhone 3G and 5S, same problems. I tried again last night and when I set up VOX (9) the radio didn't turn on until I pressed the transmit image button. I went ahead and put VOX on (10) and the radio wouldn't turn off. It worries me that this is the case as the eBay interface does NOT do this and I can use the VOX setting (1) with it. So I'll keep testing it to make sure it doesn't ruin the radio or the iPhone. I've asked Btech for help but I'm not sure if there's anything they can do about it.
