🎧 BTECH APRS-K1 Cable: High-Quality Audio Interface for BaoFeng, BTECH BF-F8HP, UV-82HP, UV-5X3 (APRSpro, APRSDroid Compatible - Android, iOS) Review

Use with UV5R in car for APRS and digital modes/SSTV, very fun. I use it as a repeater. I connect a cable to the main base station radio's external speaker output and turn on the Vox on the UV5r, then it sends L-stream to the HT which I keep on top. This allows me to hear those scattered simplex channels that the HT usually doesn't get up.

I'm using this to connect to my Baofeng computer and run FLDigi. Works great. Now I'm trying to stream audio from the computer to the speakers simultaneously for use on the 2m NBEMS. and be able to run voice and MT6300 simultaneously. A virtual audio cable is used for this test. Whether you need a fast and efficient way to connect to the digital 2m band like FLDigi that works! My friends at NBEMS have already bought several of these.

Quality construction! Suitable for all my Baofeng/Android interface needs! Excellent work! The plugs and fittings appear to be injection molded, the cable has a softer texture and very flexible, very high quality parts. It would be handy if you could open the key to shorten the wires. Many people find a long cord comfortable, but for hiking it can be 1/4 to 1/2 longer. Not necessarily because of the weight, but because of the tangle factor, shorter cables won't tangle or twist.

I use this as a mobile solution for VHF radio amateurs in digital mode with HT. This, Baofeng and a laptop and I'll be up and running in minutes. Works great with FLDigi. I can send and receive (encode/decode) successfully. Tested CW, PSK-31 and MFSK-16. Will probably work a lot more if you have an FM requirement. Set the squelch to 1, vox to 2 and you're good to go. UPDATE: This cable comes with an adapter. The documentation clearly says you don't need it unless you're using an older phone. That is not right. ADAPTER MUST BE USED when using an iPhone or iPad connection. Bad documentation is worse than no documentation. Just before I was about to go to bed I found my UV-B5 is red and overheating when my UV-B5 (VOX set to 1, TOT set to 1 minute) was on the charger and a 100% disabled Android phone was charging with a BTECH cable connecting them.
