Review on Audio-Technica AT-VMN95ML Microlinear Stylus Red - Enhanced Replacement for Turntables by Tabish Jadhav

I finally broke down and paid $149 for this stylus and I'm glad I did! It fits perfectly with my Audio Technica AT-VM95E cartridge on my AT-LP120X turntable. My biggest concern was internal groove distortion. Distortion has been SIGNIFICANTLY reduced on my albums, and on some you can't even hear it! Completely happy with it! Really good tone reproduction too and for me it runs fine at 2 grams. One concern: I've found some of my 45s to dig an excessive amount of dirt out of the grooves. However, I know that these 45 are clean! Some I've cleaned at least three times lately. I cleaned one thoroughly, dried it, put it on to play, and it did the same thing as before. As if I had never touched it! I let it play all the way in one game and about a quarter of the way in the previous one. I don't think I damaged the pen, but that's a small issue. So far I haven't had this problem with 12" records and I don't seem to notice any audible differences in the sound. Apart from this small problem I am completely satisfied and recommend the purchase if you are willing to spend the money.
