Review on 📱 Tera Pro Series HW0008: Wireless 1D 2D QR Barcode Scanner with Cradle, Counting Screen, Extra Fast Scanning Speed, Ultra High Resolution Handheld Image Bar Code Reader for Warehouse Inventory by Elder Unogu

My department at work bought one of these to try as a replacement for the DS4208 icon. (The brand name is also known as Zebra or Motorola.) The programming options include all the features we need, and it reads smaller QR codes than the DS4208 can handle. First tests seem promising. With HW0008 we encountered some caveats. You yourself are not violating the agreement. When experimenting with the settings, I first set the scanner to display all letters in uppercase first, and then all characters in lowercase. When I tried setting it to output unmodified or back to uppercase output, it continued to output everything in lowercase. I had to do a factory reset twice before the setting was erased. Second, lifting the scanner off the stand, we found that we had to pull the trigger to wake it up without reading a barcode before it worked. Any code scanned during this time will generate an error tone. Third, the battery readings are completely unreliable. I tried to contact Tera about a battery issue but got no response. The scanner is almost fully charged as we charged it for over 24 hours. However, when I pick it up from the cradle after charging, press the trigger once to wake it up, and then scan (in quick succession one after the other) the battery level barcode, the firmware version barcode, and the for barcode the fill level again. I get the following results every time: BAT_VOL=38%db006NT_RFWCDEA305_FSBAT_VOL=75% It never exceeds 75%. I ran this test several times in a row, setting the scanner for a few minutes between tests, and it always repeated the same sequence of readings. I can't find the electronic manual for this model (EV0018-1) on their website and I can't find a firmware update anywhere.
