I got a new 13" MBP with touchpad and I didn't want to get confused by buttons and adapters. My old setup with a 2016 15" MBP had a lot of cables on one Side of the laptop as multiple monitors and USB hubs were used. This helps to replicate my multi monitor setup but makes it easy by simply plugging this hub into the side of the laptop.HDMI works great. The second monitor needs to be routed through the TB3 port along with the power. To do this I use Choetech USB-C HDMI with a power supply cable to connect to the TB3 port. Now I have at least two cables to power the computer and in extended view to 2 monitors I decided to stop using my Logitech keyboard and mouse with a unifying USB receiver and switched to a Bl uetooth keyboard and mouse to free up the USB-A port on the hub, but since these receivers are so small it wouldn't really make much of a difference. I used the extra USB-C port on the hub to connect the Zorloo ZuperDAC-S so I could plug in my headphones. All in all, a streamlined solution for my desktop setup, and it all starts with this hub only coming out of one side of the computer. On the other side of the computer, ports are open for anything I might need, but I most likely won't be using them just to make my setup as easy as possible.
