I bought these to seal my 5 gallon water bottles after refilling them. They work great, but you still have to take them off most of the way to get them out of the water jug. However, they can be used to reseal a water bottle. I've dropped mine 4 times now and there have been no leaks on the way home from the gas station. The caps that the bottles come with have foam seals that you break when you insert the bottle into the dispenser. Instead, these caps have plastic plugs, but they snap on easily and provide a good seal.
