My 9 year old grandson was very happy with it! He lives in Cali and swims almost every summer with his mom and sister at the local pool since it's only six blocks away, and swims less in the ocean at the beach (strong swimmer, but what waves!), but splashes in the water a lot . The Pacific Ocean and running on small waves, between the sand, digging with my sister. The best part (for him) was that they are NIKE and they wear exactly the same as the big boys! The color really suits him according to mum - both grandchildren are very blonde - and the blue makes for beautiful beachy blonde hair. The best and most important thing is that HE loves them and is proud to wear them. That's the best Nana can hear!
