4 people can get on this with no problem (depending on weight per person of course). Also will be able to handle the weight of your baggage as well but try to estimate the weight so you don't end up going overboard. Also the less weight the better for each use, I recommend 2-3 people and baggage but no more because the longevity of the product will decrease if you get too close to the weight capacity in each outing or camping trip.
