Review on πŸͺ‘ SPACE Seating Professional Deluxe Padded Mesh Task Chair in Rouge Red - Adjustable Arms, Tilt Tension & Synchro Mechanism by Kevin Farmer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Slightly uncomfortable back cushion

Viewing the chair is not as easy as viewing the camera or software. Assembly, packaging, fit and finish are easy to describe - and the product works as it should because you just sit in it. The important part, comfort, is purely subjective - it reflects personal taste of what comfort is - so if 3 people sat in it you would most likely get 3 different opinions. To get a good idea of this chair I used it for a week before writing this review. Assembly: I looked at many chairs both in physical stores and online before purchasing this one. Many reviewers (for other chairs) first complained about the poor fit of parts that didn't fit together, and then complained about missing parts, poor customer service, and poor packaging resulting in damaged parts. This chair was well packaged in a sturdy box with each piece wrapped in a separate plastic bag to prevent scratches. Set up was very easy and set up was quick. All screw holes line up perfectly - simply hand tighten the screws, then use the included Allen key to finish. The screws are wrapped in bubble wrap - they're labeled and grouped according to where it goes, so there was no guesswork as to which screws went with which parts. There are 13 screws in total: 6 for the armrest, 4 for the mechanism under the seat and 3 for the backrest. The attached diagram and instructions were clear and easy to follow. Comfort: After assembling the chair, my first impression was that the cushions were not soft enough. It reminded me of how I felt the first time I slept on a very hard mattress. My old chair had very thickly padded seat and back cushions, so it took a little getting used to. After a week of use, the stool is not as soft as I would like, but that is normal. There's one annoying feature I don't like - there's a bulge on the back pillow which I assume was supposed to support the lower back, but it hits the back in the wrong place and I always know it's there . If you want to install this support, why not make it so that the backrest can be moved up and down so you can adjust it to your body. One size fits all, it's not what you need. The mesh fabric looks good and feels durable. Fit and finish are excellent. For those wondering if they can fit in a chair, the inside armrest spacing is 19.5 inches. If you search the internet for this chair, you will get websites with all the information you need about sizes and adjustments. I couldn't decide to give this a 3 or 4, but as this writing support pushes me in the back I'll say a 3. I should mention I bought this through Revain and they got it very quickly. It's convenient for me to order everything from Revain that sells and sells through Revain.

Pros
  • Height-adjustable armrests let the backrest recline for your comfort, and dual casters let you glide smoothly
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
