Moved to a new office with 110 employees, there was an urgent need for noise protection. Before that, there were sennheiser 280 pro - I'll compare them with them. I took headphones exclusively for active noise cancellation. I was supposed to mostly sit in them without music - just to be quieter. As written in other reviews, a monotonous hum, noise - the headphones do an excellent job with this. The unintelligible buzz of the crowd will be cut off almost 100%. But specifically distinguishable sounds (a nearby voice, doors, heels - all this is audible, but more muffled). My impressions: Office: I work in openspace with 110 employees, at the height of the working day everyone communicates. The noise level measured by the program on the iphone showed about 60db. We turn on the headphones. You immediately feel pressure on the ears (a true comparison with a high-speed elevator. Only in the elevator you open your mouth and the effect disappears, but here the pressure is constant. And, as it seemed to me, the more noise around, the more it presses (logically)). In general, the noise reduction effect is felt much more clearly when it is turned off. Since it seems to be noisy anyway, specific sounds are heard, but I would like 100% silence . you think: "I'm tired of this pressure on my ears", turn it off and . you understand how good it was! At first, a strange feeling of "a choice between two evils" is created - to sit with pressure in the ears, or in noise. Still better with pressure. If more about comparisons - it's like a good double-glazed window at a window overlooking a busy street. I closed the window - it became much quieter, but still something was heard. Or if you climb under a down pillow - external sounds become muffled. So that the ears do not notice sweat - the design seems to be breathable, they do not press and are not heavy. Comfortable for long-term use (unlike senheisers). Noise isolation itself (passive) is mediocre. Sennheisers are better. The same, and in many ways clearer, with sound. Surprisingly, I heard new notes in familiar compositions, at the bass level (light, barely audible). The sound has become flatter or something . a larger palette is heard, but with less contrast. Compared to photography, it's like a histogram. At bose, it is flat - but you can hear all the shades. And in sennheisers a little more "cool" - due to the sacrifice of some nuances, but in general the sound became clearer and more interesting. In the underground: Similar situation. It seems like it’s still noisy, but well, it’s pressing on your ears - we remove the headphones and it’s not clear how I could be in such noise before . In general, I am very satisfied with the purchase - I did not find any other alternatives in a noisy office. Worth the money, very nice to hold in your hands. But if there is silence, I will prefer my old Sennheisers, or just sit in silence.
