Review on Screen Camera Rearview Recorder Reversing by Renee Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great solution for installing modern technology in my old car.

Very impressed with this mirror. I love that it fits over your existing mirror - there are two different lengths of elastic that you can use to fit your existing car mirror. I routed the cable through the headliner and then under the dash to the power source I wanted to use. The power cord was long enough for a large SUV/truck. The backup camera cable was long enough to run to the license plate of a long truck. Before installation, think about where you want to install the camera. I would suggest leaving the backup camera there before you start wiring your car just to make sure you understand what the camera's angles are to where you want to mount it. The rear camera mount pivots so you can mount it on a surface above, behind, or below the camera. I mounted the camera mount on top so I didn't have an issue with the cable directly behind the camera. If you mount the mount on a surface behind the camera, you might have a bit of an issue with the cable coming out of the camera a little tight, as the mount doesn't have much depth and barely leaves enough room. to bend the cable 90 degrees. Of course, this is not a problem if you intend to drill a hole for the cable to pass through at this point. The reversing camera is powered by the reversing lights - I used a quick connector to connect the red wire to power the camera. I am very happy with this facility. It brought some modern technology to my old car.
