Review on πŸ’… Clear Silicone Nail Art Stamper with Scraper - Perfect for DIY Nail Decor by Jennifer Howard

Better than the more expensive ones.

Medium size, single side transparent round stamp. It's not exactly gooey and soft marshmallow, but almost. The instructions say not to refill it, but I found that didn't work when I first got it. Washing the head and sticking it on the lint roller didn't help. I heard you can't use a nail file on clear stamps because they will fog up, but this thing didn't take the picture. So I sucked it out, grabbed a fine-grit nail file, and gently ran it over my head. It clouded it, but not to the point where you couldn't see what you were doing, it was still perfectly possible to place the image accurately when viewing it. And now it works like a charm, didn't have a single problem with it. In fact, I simultaneously ordered a double-sided clear monster stamp in the kit, which was more expensive, and I've found that I always reach for that when I don't need a tiny BMC stamp head for a small image stamp when I need the perfect abode. BMC is not that reliable even after the same primer treatment. It holds up well (never use acetone/nail polish remover on a silicone stamp head - just clean with a roller or lint removal tape) and I've had no issues with the edges. the cutting heads begin to crack or detach, which is not the case with BMC. It comes with a simple plastic scraper. Nothing fancy but slightly thinner than a credit card for those who prefer thinner scrapers. Overall, this is a decent stamp for those looking for a crisp, soft stamp.

Pros
  • Note: If the stamp does not pick up patterns well enough the first time, rinse the stamp under running water and allow it to air dry.
