Review on Performance Tool W38160 Spark Socket by Damon Blazis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fits my motorcycle spark plugs but doesn't hold them.

My bike came with a spark plug tool. However, it is designed to be rotated using a public key. I need. It's too thick to fit the socket wall of my torque wrench between it and the decorative head cover (which can only be removed by pulling off a few things). I refuse to install things like spark plugs unless I can tighten them to the correct torque. I bought this so I could add it to a simple extension so I could get through the head cover without risking the connector being screwed in crookedly. I can actually use my torque wrench to install a spark plug. However, it loses two stars because it doesn't actually capture the spark plug. I still have to use the tool that came with the bike to start the fork. I just twist it with my finger and then use this tool. However, this requires washers with a smaller hole.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • No power
