I'm new to HTV Vinyl and am struggling to find the PERFECT design/letter for my purple t-shirt. The design I chose was too complicated for this vinyl. I used "HTV, not the Cricut brand" as the material and forgot to change the pressure setting to max pressure. However, I had to go back and pull a few small pieces out of the sheet and attach them to the transfer tape with tweezers. Press t-shirt for 15 seconds, apply design and press design with transfer tape for 40 seconds, turn shirt inside out and press for another 40 seconds (this step is highly recommended by most (if not all) manufacturers I follow youtube). When I turned the shirt inside out again and tried to do a "warm peel" the drawing looked like it was peeling off with transfer tape. I reapplied the heat for another 40 seconds, this time letting it cool before peeling it off. The HTV seemed to stick better to the shirt; However, there are still a few places I'm skeptical about. In hindsight they consider it a "flex sport" and I would like to increase the temperature from 280º to 305º. I wish vinyl sheets came in multiple sizes or rolls, at least 12x12. I LOVE the tie-dye colors. I'm hoping to do something with the other leaves in the pack this week. I will increase the pressure and temperature of my Easy Press and provide an update on my review. Until. I would recommend this product if you know your cutting machine and heat press. I would not recommend this product for beginners. *UPDATE: This turned out to be one of my favorite shirts, so it was washed and dried almost EVERY WEEK by MANY. While I'm picky about separating clothes before washing since they're lavender, they wash red in the cold, I'm not the type to pay much attention to whether I wash my clothes inside out or , worse, tumble dry . in a certain way and almost never hanging anything out to dry. So with this shirt NO special attention is paid to drying! All I said was that vinyl held up better than my glitter vinyl on my shirt. No detachment in difficult places in the design! VERY HAPPY with the washing, drying and weekly wear I'm getting from this shirt!
