Without remote control: Seasonal decor

The name of the item made me think it was a remote control. I am also very unhappy that the controller is not halfway up the power cord as shown in the picture. I use it on the wall with an outlet behind my bed and every time I want to use it I have to turn the outlet on and off because of the mattress.
