Review on πŸš€ High-Performance Intel Core i9-10850K Desktop Processor: Unlocked 10 Cores up to 5.2 GHz (LGA1200) by Rob Allen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Don't wait for 5GHz in the air; runs hot. Excellent quality when it comes

Lost in the silicon lottery. It is difficult to achieve an OC higher than 4.9 on Noctua's best air cooler. To be on the safe side, I applied thermal paste twice. You can reset it to the default C-state when loading multiple cores to 5.2 for a minute. Damn, this is hot stuff. 250 watts was just a number until I got it. With all the noctua case fans and air coolers I had to buy a Kraken WATER 360mm AIO cooler! Anyway, Coy is the best and I get over 69 fs in every game with my ECGA GTX1080. Can't wait for the RTX 3080 waiting list Summer lol This Kou is paired with an Asus z490-e Strix. 16x2GB g.skill 6-9-9-39 I think I was confused even without it. No memory required as it is Intel and not AMD. I'll keep trying and tweaking, but I've been experimenting with different LL-Cals, VDDIO and VDDSA. Viceroy is set at 1.39, which is higher than I would like. . Asus defaults are dangerously high and call me uncomfortable, going above 1.4 which I could do and hitting an elusive 5.0 but I want this to last 5 years. Overall, the switch from the i7-6700k OC wasn't as big a jump in performance as I'd hope, but overall it's fast and snappy. While I'm at it right now, I'd recommend the 10900 because of the performance penalties. Only the crucial ram has a low enough profile to make this possible. I replaced that fan with a larger noctua SP 120mm fan so I can now attach the side glass case. PcpartPicker is great but only 95% accurate overall so check it out.

Pros
