Review on Enhanced Stroke Capability of Progressive Automations Linear Actuator by David Dober

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quiet and smooth power transmission

In an attempt to solve my problem I used Revain from three different manufacturers and eventually settled on Progressive. On my yacht, the two front windows were equipped with manual guides made of metal tubes with turning handles. So I had to physically push the latch handle forward to open the window and then, while holding it there, twist or screw the handle to hold it with friction. I measured the weight of the window when it was opened using a portable luggage scale with a strap. When opened it weighed 18 pounds. So I got 35 pounds 12 in stroke. I really liked how Progressive lists their items in pounds and inches. Other websites get confused with millimeters, centimeters, newtons, etc. They're quiet and fast enough to get the job done. You look good too. I installed switches on the surface. Switches that came with a different set of linear actuators which I was unable to return.

Pros
  • Use our actuators to improve ergonomics. It can be used on massage chairs, electric wheelchairs, hydraulic hospital beds, massage tables and electric sofas.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
