Review on SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC Black Wired Gaming Headset - Certified Hi-Res Audio - Dedicated DAC and Amp - for PS5, PS4, and PC by Anand Kumar Singh ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Medium quality, especially for that kind of money.

What can I say. If you had a normal headset, then you most likely will not notice the wow effect, although you would like to for such money. Before them, there were Hyperx cloud without sound, which honestly worked for almost 4 years, until the sound began to fail due to the board in the sound control. Unlike steelseries, they flew regularly due to a short wire, which did not affect them in any way. When the wow effect from the purchase was not received, after a while a sound one was bought, maybe the integrated unit in the kit is not very good. It didn't change anything, but the old hyperx played even better than steelseries to my ears. Total my advice, looking back. If possible, I would have bought new hyperx immediately instead of steelseries with a separate sound system and it was 2 times cheaper with about the same quality

Pros
  • Pretty good sound. A noticeable difference with regular headphones in shooters in terms of player positioning relative to sounds
Cons
  • 1) Dancing with a tambourine around tuning and connection Because of the usb connection, you can’t just select in the audio driver settings so that the sound goes to the headphones and speakers at the same time, unlike ears with a 3.5 jack. I use a computer not alone and for me it is important. The problem is solved through a virtual audio mixer, which, without declaring war, likes to fall off For a reason unknown to me, the manufacturer in PC connection mode cuts the frequency and bit depth. What is the difference between the PC mode and Hi-res, except for the ability to set 96Khz and 24bit, I could not install 2) Sometimes the sound falls off. Reboot helps. There is no pattern to why this is happening. 3) Like many who left a review after a year+ of use, the body cracked at the point of attachment to the bow. The headset happened to fall, but yes, show me a person who doesn’t. During the autopsy, it became clear that the attachment point has no plastic reinforcement. That is, this problem is quite laid down from the factory. 4) After about six months, it became clear that it was time to wash the ear pads and elastic. It was not possible to wash the ear pads normally. The rubber band has stretched slightly. As a result, it was bought from Ali, because the original is not for sale with us, and the off store does not deliver to us. Alish ear pads are noticeably worse than the original ones
