Works well if you can get it to block.
Definitely good quality and hard work, but the front you step on to latch is too short and the gap is narrow. If you have small feet and wear regular shoes, this may not be a problem. This type of lock is for heavy carts and cars, I wear size 13 steel-toed Red Wing boots and their almost comical attempt to lock them.
