Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall ok but parts are missing

Well first of all this review could easily get a 5 star rating if the manufacturer were easier to work with. When assembling and installing I found the block was missing 2 nuts, all the other nuts came pre fitted so I doubt they fell off but they just weren't in the kit. I contacted the manufacturer as per the owner's manual for missing parts and they told me they ran out of the 1/4" locknut I needed to complete the installation and are unable to send me a replacement at this time. They're about $1 for two of these at any hardware store and the manufacturer could easily ship them if they're interested, so instead of going back to Revain and waiting another 3-5 days for a replacement I just went with it to buy them place to complete the installation. I needed two nuts, installation was very easy and only took about 10 minutes as I attached them to exposed studs in my garage. My only complaint is that you can use 32" or 48" centers as it has to be mounted on two studs. "Focuses on how wide you need it, but with 48" lugs that leaves about 6" of extra room and the wheels don't sit close enough together to prevent tipping. I wish there was a way Having to adjust the internal dimensions separately from the outside to allow the wheels to fit closer together, erm Small issue but something to be aware of and yes the unit is level but the wheels are very heavy on the outside and tilted to one side.

Pros
  • All steel construction with scratch resistant silver powder coating
Cons
  • No machine gun
