I am very careful about how I put tires on my wheels. I used to use a standard 5 inch round microfiber applicator, but since they were cheap and had pretty good reviews I decided to give them a try. They seem to be of pretty good quality. The foam is nice and dense but not hard at all. This is made for a simple hoop application. It spreads the bandage very evenly and leaves a nice even layer of shine (I only use splint gel/cream but it works with all types of splints). The handle provides a good grip for scrolling in both directions (sideways and vertically). Overall, this is a great applicator for any size tire. UPDATE: After TWO tire treatments on my CAR TIRES, the foam on the pads started falling apart like small breadcrumbs. I am also very careful with my applicators. I have normal car tires (195/60/R15). I even use a water based tire cleaner (Chemical Guys New Car Shine). I'm really disappointed in what appears to be a great product out of the box. I'm going to try the Chemical Guys applicators. They have good reviews and seem to be holding up better than this one. Chemical Guys ACC_300_2 - Durafoam Contour Large Tire Applicator Pads (2 Pack)
