From woman: I had such high hopes for these shoes! I've been looking for this style in anticipation of spring and summer but can't spend a fortune so these seemed to fill the bill. They arrived quickly and were packaged very well. The shoes showed no signs of wear as some others have reported. There were a wad or two on top of both, but that was due to the wad of paper packed inside each boot and not a manufacturer's error. These rounded pieces of cardboard would probably be your best bet to help them hold their shape. At first glance, they make a very well-made impression. But when I tried them on, that was unfortunately the only positive thing. I usually wear a size 6.5 so I ordered it. I was wearing the correct boots and the size seemed right, but as I stepped across the carpet my big toe rubbed my side uncomfortably and my heel slipped out completely. Too tight at the toe and too wide at the heel. I couldn't go down a size as my toes were all way up. I put on my left shoe and had the same heel slipping issue, but instead of my thumb rubbing my side, the rounded portion underneath dug into a hard piece of fabric. The memory foam inside was ok but not impressive. I tried them on with socks hoping that would solve the heel problem, but it made the toe box even narrower and my heels still slipped, although not as much. While the heel areas weren't an issue, the friction between my right big toe and the side of my left foot made them so uncomfortable that I couldn't even walk across the room, let alone the real world, so unfortunately. They will return and my quest will continue.
