Installation was a little tricky as parts like larger thumb grips didn't have a good way of attaching to the console - you just had to try. The part that goes over the display itself is very nice but very difficult to install. I messed up the sticky backing of my corner a bit - I think it would be useful to use a small tool to hold the screen instead of my fingers. Overall, I'm not sure how long this case will necessarily *safely* keep your Switch in the event of a fall? Maybe a little less effective. But I will say that the clear Joy-Con grips make it much easier to hold the Switch itself and the Joy-Cons. However, you CANNOT plug the joysticks into the convenient grip that comes with the switch. To do this, I had to remove the transparent handles each time. But the clear grips are a pretty good replacement for this part and keep your grip intact. The rectangular grommet above the console is a bit lost at the bottom, but it keeps your Switch more securely on the dock, so it's a nice touch. .If you have an Animal Crossings: New Horizons (ACNH) Switch, you will not be able to see the special engraving on the rear console through this "see through" case as the rectangular case has its own checkerboard engraving on the inside.
