Review on 🥑 Vitamix A2500 Ascent Series Smart Blender, 64 oz. Low-Profile Container, Black, Professional-Grade by Tsar Smithlin

This Vitamix could end up costing you a lot more than you think

In general I like my new Vitamix. I spent a lot of time researching which blender to buy due to the high price. I didn't consider that the 64 ounce jar that comes with this model is too big for many blending operations. Because it's so wide at the bottom, many recipes fail to mix successfully—the contents splatter around the sides and under the blades of the 64-ounce container, sending those powerful Vitamix blades whirling helplessly through the air. Sauces and nut butters don't work at all, and single-serving smoothies and frozen desserts only work if you add extra ingredients and clean the sides frequently (making the pre-programmed settings useless). Several times I had to pour everything out of my new Vitamix and finish it off with a $59 hand blender. I ended up spending an additional $150 to buy a 48 ounce container (the even smaller Ascent series containers looked interesting but were poorly reworked). Everything works so much better in a smaller container, so now I like to mix with 64 oz. The container takes up space in the back of my closet. In the end I feel very manipulated as I had to spend another $150 for good results but I think I should say "well played Vitamix, well played."
