The unit comes with a base that comes with screws so you can mount it to the wall. It has a tester and is immediately ready for use. Under $24 it might seem a little pricey, but most of these cheaper fire alarms use 9 volt batteries that drain too quickly. The fact that it comes with a lithium battery and a device that can last ten years makes this alarm worth its price. Mosuo fire alarm/smoke alarm recommended!
