Bought for children (5 and 7 years) to make patterns. They have experience with similar sets. They liked the provided template design and also tried it in free form. The reservoir keeps all the balls from mixing. I tested it by closing it and shaking it. While the patterns, beads and pegboards are great. Difficult to get the balls out of the storage tank. They pack too tightly into compartments that are too small. The supplied shovel is too big and therefore unusable. Unless you like pearls flying all over the place. Tried a smaller rectangular scoop thinking it might fit better and still had issues.
