I bought 2 of these cables, one very short and one 10 feet long. I can't recommend a 10ft cable due to poor shielding. The hum of the microphone is very annoying. Cheaply manufactured long cable runs are very prone to this. I don't claim to be a professional audiophile, but I understand the basics of proper audio signal paths. I have taken care not to route the cable in close proximity to power cords and know my audio/video equipment is properly grounded. Another problem I have is that the RCA connectors are very narrow. (Another reviewer also mentioned this) Very difficult to remove once pasted.
