There was an incident recently where I thought it was raining outside but it was just water dripping from my shower upstairs over the wall and down the top of the outside door frame. Not funny. I figured I'd have to rip out the grout, cut and repaste the walls, which I probably should be doing anyway. But actually the problem was that we have a one piece fiberglass tub/shower with a curtain. For some reason, water was always leaking and pooling on the floor in that corner of the bathroom. Installing them (a protective case on each side) immediately eliminated the problem. It even comes with its own silicone! But take a look at another review that talks about the angle of your tub if it is indeed fiberglass. If it's not a clean 90° angle between the edge of the tub and the shower wall, but a gentle curve, it won't work. Luckily I have an almost clean 90° angle. It was pushed back a bit so the top was about 1/4 inch from the wall, but I just used a little more silicone to fill the gap. The included silicone hose is more than enough to get the job done.
