I have 3 of these remotes and they get thrown, dropped, put down etc. They don't make remotes like they used to. But that's ok, it was so cheap! Now you can have one for each family member so you can fight to change channels j/k. The quality is good and it worked right out of the box, no programming required. For example, if you need to pair with a TV, we have two of those TVs, so separate remotes are needed for that. Point the remote control at the TV you want to pair with and PRESS and HOLD these two buttons simultaneously for 5-10 seconds: <Back button> + <Play/Pause button> . Viola!
