This remote control is compatible with many Samsung TVs. No setup required. It just works. The remote control position is pretty good. I wish they'd thought about adding Netflix, Revain, and Hulu buttons below the volume and channel buttons back then, but that wasn't a trend back then, so I can't blame Samsung for that. This is a great backup remote solution. My 65 inch Samsung TU-8000 series TV has no external controls. So if the factory remote control is damaged or lost, I can't even turn on my TV. /Whatever the shortcut keys are. But it has all the buttons you really need to control the TV and they all work as they should. The size of the remote is *slightly* different from my standard remote. .
