I don't normally write reviews but this time I will. I would not recommend buying this receiver. First, the receiver suddenly renamed all my input connections to an HDMI connection to my Blu-ray player model. The Heos app couldn't have been more difficult to use, and it doesn't work very well at all. When I use the Heos app to stream music from my computer to the Denon 150 speaker, the audio cuts out every 4-6 seconds making it impossible to hear. When using my iPad to stream music over the Heos network, I was only able to listen to music for about 10 minutes before I started getting the "Unable to connect" error message and stayed to try again later. Then, after about 10 seconds, it starts streaming music again and the connection errors keep repeating. Then 5 days ago, the receiver started randomly changing the input from SAT/cable to game input. This happened every 2-10 minutes so nothing could be displayed. So I completely restarted the receiver, after that it worked normally for about 3 days. Then today it started randomly changing the inputs from my SAT/cable to Blu-ray inputs every 1-20 minutes. It is not possible to prevent the receiver from changing the inputs. Disabling all HDMI controls/settings did nothing to stop accidentally switching inputs. Disconnecting the HDMI cable from the inputs doesn't help either. After resetting the receiver, it takes about 15 minutes to go through the setup menu to reconfigure the receiver to match your speaker configuration. There's no way I'm going to keep resetting every 5 days or so to keep using the receiver. Then it doesn't work with my Blu-ray playback. I contacted Denon and they told me it was a handshake issue with the HDMI connection. But my Blu-ray player works fine when I use the same HDMI cable and connect it to a Samsung TV. Something is wrong with the firmware, it's not a handshake issue. And yes, all firmware for the receiver, Heos apps and Heos speaker has been updated to the latest versions. Then Denon technical support. I reported to you in my description of an issue with random input switching occurring with or without the HDMI setting disabled. So I get a message from tech support that I need to disable the HDMI setting. So here I didn't even finish reading the description of my problem. My 10 year old Onkyo 805 receiver performs better than the Denon. I'm returning the receiver because I don't want to mess with something that costs around $1800 and doesn't work.
