it is easy to use, I have 2 dogs so I have to be resourceful. I experimented by strapping it to my seat belt - didn't work, the handles work great! But I don't have handles in the trunk. I have 4 joggers and since I will be taking up most of the trunk I was able to hang both (I ordered 2 of these for each dog) on the rear hooks under the seats. As long as it works I had a dog that got tangled in another dog's hook. So not sure if this will work for both dogs, the length from the rear seat handles to the trunk is fine for short trips where I don't mind my dogs sitting. If I wanted them to be comfortable: in order to be able to fold them, the line piece needs to be a bit longer when hooked to the rear seat handles. But keeping your pups in the back seat works great!
