Review on πŸ’» Optimized Samson LTS50 Laptop Stand (SALTS50) by Aaron Parish

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality durable stand - better than expected. Definitely recommend!

This is a solid product, well built and of good quality. The tripod legs can be adjusted to either a narrow or wide base, the adjustable shaft has a pin for added security, and the top shelf has a half-inch protrusion on one side and about a quarter-inch on the other side (if available). you like). Remove the four nuts and swap the top direction, which might be better for slanted use with a thin ultrabook). It would also make a good music stand or conductor's stand - it would easily support a lot of weight and be in use. It's portable but heavier than I expected. The silicone pad is super sticky (but works well) and has an awful chemical smell which I hope will wear off with use. The only real complaint is that the washers and fasteners were loose in the box and no fitting order was given. While it wasn't hard to figure out what worked, there were 5 shims and I'd like to know what they recommended doing with them - I put a plastic shim on each side of the rotating arch and a thicker metal shim and other plastic on the side with a handle. It's probably not a big deal, but annoying nonetheless - and they could at least put the hardware in a bag or something so it doesn't just bounce around the box - things could easily get lost that way. This is a higher quality item than I expected for the price - I look forward to using it for a long time and would definitely recommend it unless you need something ultra light or small for travel - in which case check the weight and dimensions. UPDATE - It's been about a week now and the chemical smell from the silicone seal is still there. It's not too bad to have something on it (like a laptop) but if you're around and it's not covered it's still gross. This is probably true of all silicone pads - this is the first one I've used - but it's certainly a factor in how I use it!
