I'm looking for a stand that my teachers could use for a laptop or iPad during class. The pedestals are too big. We received these small computer desks but they are really flimsy. This stand should work for my purposes. There are 3 shortcomings that I spotted right away, but I think I can work around them. Just got mine and thought I'd fix a few things: The picture in the listing showing it being 47 inches at maximum extension when the tray is flat is correct. Note that this is one inch less than 4 feet. The product's textual description of being dropped from a height of 4.5 feet is incorrect.
