Multiple Styles to Choose From - Blue Camo Review (Fleece Lining & Detachable Hood)

Remember that there are 3 different types of jackets on this list. Style 1 - army green camouflage (with fleece lining) - the hood is not detachable. Style 2 - Camouflage Blue (with fleece lining and detachable hood) and Green Camo (with fleece lining and detachable hood) Style 3 - Blue (with detachable hood), Green (with detachable hood) and Khaki (with detachable hood). The style resembles a bomber jacket with ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem along the bottom of the jacket to keep drafts out. Has 4 pockets (2 for hands and 2 chest) and a detachable hood. The inside of the jacket is lined with fleece except for the sleeves. The sleeves are made from the same polyester material as the outside of the jacket rather than fleece, making it easier to get your hands inside the jacket. The hood is lined with imitation lambswool. My son says the jacket is comfortable and very warm. I ordered my son a size up so he can grow into it and wear it for more than one season. From the way it sits (arms are long but not too long, and the hem falls to mid-thigh when lowered), it looks like it's true to size. Ordering a one size will be too big at first, but next year it should be just right. It's too warm in Southern California at the moment to judge how the jacket performs in freezing temperatures. As soon as snow falls in the local mountains, I will update the review and we can test the jacket in snow and freezing temperatures. My educated guess is that it will be fine. The first thing I thought when I received the jacket was that they should call it a black camo jacket. However, I have found that if you look at the jacket under the sunlight you can see that the dark gray areas are a very dark blue and the middle gray areas are a dark purplish blue. When illuminated indoors, the jacket appears with a black, dark gray and medium gray pattern. The images in the listing are accurate for indoor light sources but not sunlight. I think the jacket still looks good. At first I was confused by the flaps on the hood with a fuzzy velcro loop on one side. I'm used to closing ski jackets with velcro on the back of the flap on one side and the front on the other so they snap together. Looks like they made a mistake. But as you can see in the 1st picture there are velcro straps hidden under the sewn on piece of fabric on either side of the top of the main zip. The bonnet flaps close there. The 2nd picture shows the valve to the right of the picture. On the 3rd picture you can see the care label. The ad says the jackets can only be dry cleaned. However, the symbols on the care label appear from left to right: Wash at 30°C (86°F) or less Do not bleach (do not bleach even with Color Safe) Iron at low temperature, 110°C or 230°F , with or without couples. I'm not sure I would risk ironing this. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry. The 4th picture shows the fleece on the inside of the back of the jacket. My son said the jacket was very warm when he tried it on. If you look at the 3rd photo, the bottom of the care label has been cut off. If you look at the 4th picture you can see that the area on the inside of the jacket where the company tag or screen print is usually sewn on other jackets is blank. This leads me to think these jackets were factory surplus for another brand handpicked by Snow Dreams. This is still a good quality jacket. Overall this is a nice quality warm jacket that fits well.
