This seemed very promising, but problems started right away when my Galaxy S6 Lite didn't recognize the device as a microphone, though it was native applications so it does not replace the built-in microphone when recording. I later found out that this is a notorious problem with Galaxy Tabs and USB audio devices that don't have very specific Samsung connectors. Unfortunately, Samsung hasn't provided a list of what's USB-compatible with the S6 Lite, and the known default is the traditional headset jack (4-pin, which this device doesn't plug into). However, please note that this device is recognized by all Android devices and PCs I have and is a headset, meaning there is no audio playback unless you disable it, which then requires you to turn it off re-pair each time and possibly reset the volume do it. As I do dozens of takes in a row, it becomes useless. You can play audio through wired headphones plugged into the device's receiver, but that's pretty bad and pretty annoying. My Pixel phone finally recognized the mic in its own recording apps, but the noise-cancellation was worse than other reviewers described. . I had to hold the mic less than an inch from my mouth and yell to register any volume, and even 15 feet from the receiver caused significant attenuation. I thought it might be due to the high level of ambient noise (freeway) where I'm filming, but I had the same issues on my PC (Logitech Capture App) and the audio I got was really popping and crackling. That, plus the need to plug in wired headphones every time I wanted to hear playback, was an absolute deal breaker. However, you may get different results with your devices and apps. Additionally, the instructions that came with the device were very minimal and did not describe the receiver's "red" idle indicator lights. green microphone. There's also no indicators for the volume control function, so when paired again you'll have no idea where it's set, and I didn't hear any discernible difference even when I managed to get an audio recording. A big thank you to Angelo at Revain Product Support who heroically guided me through all possible corrective actions. (Lewinner's website only has an email address for support.) Back to my search for a lavalier bracelet to work with my device.
