I had high hopes for this solution. I am an electrical engineer and very tech savvy and have installed two temperature detectors and one H2O detector in my cabin 3 hours away. Over the next two months, I had several annoying problems. All three units disappeared after about a week. I replaced the batteries on my next visit to fix them and they started working again. This is my second set of fresh batteries in two months. A few days after changing the battery I got a WET alarm from my basement. Managed to find a neighbor to check it out - NOTHING WET! You reloaded the sensor and the device showed DRY, but the web monitor page still shows WET. Something is wrong - the module and / or the monitor server. Without that basic reliability, I wouldn't get her anywhere in 3 hours. The support line is not very responsive. I would suspect my H2O unit or base unit is defective or the monitor software is having quality issues.
