UPDATE: After a few months of regular wear, sometimes the fabric on the palm tore in two strokes and a round soft pad fell out. It's still okay to wear; it's just not that convenient. For this reason I lowered the rating by 1 star to 3. The original comments remain valid. ORIGINAL: I have a small man's hand (7.25" wrist). LG/XLG fit well except for the thumb hole. The thumb hole needs to be slightly larger for my networked skin between thumb and forefinger. There are network irritations (no redness) during tasks that require movement of the thumb (e.g. typing). I will correct it from time to time as I type. I think I could enlarge the thumb hole a bit without compromising the integrity of the material (no seams or seams at the edges); but haven't tried cutting yet. The base material appears to be a thin black knit laminated to sponge foam neoprene (similar to wetsuits). I normally wear the bandage day and night, take it for the daily washing, handwriting, and use of cutlery. I'll also take it off when I need a break from restrictions. ProsMaterial (neoprene?) provides a uniform stretch fit. D Three straps ensure a custom fit. Optional metal support pad Allows fingers and thumbs to move freely while typing (although handwriting is a little clunky) Cons Some irritation at top of thumb hole at skin bridge between thumb and forefinger (requires occasional adjustments) Some itching around forearm edges (Resolves probably not to be avoided, especially if you have hairy forearms) Keeps out heat and sweat but not as much as a Muller Fitted Wrist Right (Black, Large/XLarge)
