Enforces a neutral position but allows enough freedom of movement

This is my third Futuro palm rest. I have a night and a flexible beige that I used during the day. I bought this because it allows me to type and use a computer mouse, but it has a metal bar that keeps my wrist in a neutral position. I have found that simply holding the wrist in a neutral position (with support) greatly reduces wrist pain. The metal bar helps because even when I'm in front of the TV or on a plane, my wrist tends to flex into an awkward position. For example, when I cross my…

Does the job well - check the sizing guidelines just in case!

As an online gamer and office worker, my wrists can hurt at times. I decided to take some preventive measures for my overall health by stretching and taking breaks; During my office hours I decided I could use this brace to treat my wrist. I bought a small/medium size and it fits my wrists perfectly (I have very small wrists, probably up to 2.5 inches wide). These props need to be a bit tight and I was able to find the right balance between tightness (good) and compression (bad). I am giving…

Comfortable, effective, but very poorly made (or mine is defective)

Updated April 7, 2017: After 3M left a comment, I decided to contact them. They send me a replacement along with a prepaid envelope to mail back the one I already had. I'll update this post eventually, but as I'm not currently wearing a day corset it may take a while. However, due to the support response, I am changing my rating to 3 stars. Please read the original review though as I'll have to stick with it - for now - until I can test a replacement at some point in the future. First Rating: I

It works and can be worn for a long time.

UPDATE: After a few months of regular wear, sometimes the fabric on the palm tore in two strokes and a round soft pad fell out. It's still okay to wear; it's just not that convenient. For this reason I lowered the rating by 1 star to 3. The original comments remain valid. ORIGINAL: I have a small man's hand (7.25" wrist). LG/XLG fit well except for the thumb hole. The thumb hole needs to be slightly larger for my networked skin between thumb and forefinger. There are network irritations (no…

Good support for a sprained wrist, if a little small

I bought these just over 2 years ago when I had what I now believe to be the best an arthritis virus causes - similar joint pain relieved at least partially by the use of orthotics/braces on the affected joints. I was underweight at the time (considering I'm an average female of 5ft 5" and barely 100lbs) so there was no question of which size to buy. He came and helped stabilize. my wrist, bringing some relief. I pulled it back out about a week ago after spraining my wrist and am happy with it…
