Does what it's supposed to. Although it could be a bit stronger/harder. The extendable portion of the shelf doesn't quite fit the other grill's quite snugly, but that will be decided by the weight of what you're putting on it. It is designed for narrower items, not larger plates and bowls. I use it to display my lentil and spice jars. Perfect for the black kitchen.
