I have a 5 cup Essential Home coffee maker. This basket fits perfectly. It's very easy to clean. My coffee is never ground. This did not affect the taste of my coffee. And really, why should it? When you wash and rinse it, a scent should be transferred. I use the same amount of coffee as before and the strength is exactly the same. Most importantly it helps the environment because I don't throw away paper filters every day or 2/3 times a day. It's also very economical because I'm paying a one-time fee of $5 for this basket and it should last 2 years. Coffee filters are $5 for 200. I would spend $20 on coffee filters plus waste over that 2 year period. I highly recommend this basket. Everything about it is amazing!
