I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

Hello everybody! I took it on the D200 as a standard 50mm. The build quality is excellent, but you can’t compare it with Zeiss and Leica - they are in no competition on all counts. FURTHER EVERYTHING GOES IN COMPARISON WITH NikkorAF-S35mmf / 1.4G (in the text - COMP.): The most important thing in the lens for me (I don’t know for others) is the work of lights and shadows, contrast and midtones, work with light - this is based All photography is its foundation. Sigma and SRAV. are not particularly different here; The second important thing is bokeh and blur. Sigma bokeh also has worse backgrounds, but there is little frigging. At SRAV. bokeh and blur is better, but everything is just IMPOSSIBLY GREEN and bokeh and all blur!; What follows from the previous one is that Sigma is definitely better in HA, especially in friging! SRAV. more chromate and especially a lot of friging! The foreground is just all purple! Rear just well, all green! In a lens over 60000 - this is UNACCEPTABLE! This is just rudeness towards the photographer!; Saturation (color) is the same; Spectral sensitivity (sensitivity to certain zones of the spectrum) - СРАВ. goes a little into the red spectrum - yellow; The sharpness of the Sigma is better; Phase autofocus will always lose in accuracy to contrast autofocus (although it is slower than phase autofocus) even on the cheapest soap box. The set up new SRAV-Nikon link is more accurate than Sigma, but over time, phase autofocus decalibration is inevitable, and you won’t get anywhere from the “submarine” called “Nikon” - you will go, like pretty little ones, to the adjustment, and you will pay Nikon for it fun, and I bought a docking station for Sigma, and everything is done at home and for free. So - reportage shooting - DEFINITELY take CF., unhurried creative work - Sigma with a docking station. Dust and moisture protection in SRAV. Yes, Sigma does not! For field conditions only CF.! Whoever is careful can take a chance with the Sigma - there are no retractable parts (“trunk”), therefore the ingress of dust and moisture will be less, but it will still be. The price / quality / functionality ratio of Sigma is almost ideal in comparison with SRAV. and with other analogues.

Pros
  • - build quality and materials used; - excellent sharpness; - high saturation (color); - large luminosity; - with the docking station, dependence on the service center for adjustment disappears; - good bokeh and blurring of blur zones; - for such sharpness - very uniquely low HA - and in general, not everyone, even a very expensive lens, can boast of such a set of special glasses !; - of course, the most, perhaps, the ideal price / quality / functionality ratio in this segment - it is absolutely clear what money is given for and that every penny is worked out in full here (few people can compete with the Japanese here - they know how to calculate the production economy) !;
Cons
  • Unfortunately, there are also: - autofocus during fast, reportage shooting does not always hit - work only for its intended purpose "Art" - artistic unhurried shooting (and it is advisable to put a focusing screen with Doden wedges and microraster (microprisms) for confident manual focusing!); - there is no protection against dust and moisture, well, the Japanese don’t take money for it (although I would rather overpay, but I would feel more confident in the field);
