Review on ☕ Bodum 11750-01US Bistro Burr Coffee Grinder: Powerful and Sleek Black Design by Toni Chapman

Good price, bad design

I had a good manual coffee grinder that unfortunately broke. I bought this electric coffee grinder to save a little time and effort and the reviews said it was good value for money with a good grind quality. This is a good grinder in terms of grind quality (I use a medium grind for a French press). ), speed and noise. I haven't had it long enough to comment on durability, but I expect it to last at least a couple of years without issue. However, as other reviewers have pointed out, the collection box is poorly designed, causing clutter and worse, abandoned land. The box does not sit flush with the machine and leaves a small gap at the top through which the ground coffee flies out. A simple lip on the box would solve this problem and I taped a piece of cardboard to the top of the box which seems to help. Once you put the box in, it's wedged in fairly tightly, making it awkward to remove. You always run the risk of pulling too hard and scattering the earth everywhere. The instruction manual is poorly done and needs updating. It should include the plastic part that goes on top of the grinder; that is not mentioned at all. Also, you'll have to completely reassemble the grinder before changing the grind setting, which isn't mentioned either. For a long time I thought about whether I might have a defective part. These are simple fix issues that should be addressed; it would have been worth the price paid at the time. Now I regret not buying a good old manual meat grinder. He REALLY had a good romance.
