I fitted these to my 2003 Ford Taurus after years of struggling with the stick holding the hood. Now if I raise the hood about 1/3, these guys take control and raise it all the way. Don't worry they are strong enough to hold the hood. To close the hood you actually have to pull down quite hard. Great so far. Very easy to install in minutes.
