Foodsaver bags are like buying car parts from a dealer - insanely expensive and no better than any other brand. Either way, these pouches work great and are a lot cheaper than Foodsaver's brands. They don't have gauge lines and that can be a problem if you don't have one of those machines with built in cutters, but that's about it. Everything else about them is great. I read a review that said they were thicker. Ah. Maybe just a little. They seem to be a little thicker when new, but I think that's just because they're new. Once you use them a few times and they crumple up a bit I don't feel any difference.
