Excellent SONY machine
I have one of these machines. SONY has made some very good VCRs in the past. This is one of them. The SONY SLV-799HF HiFi VCR is an excellent and reliable VCR. This device takes very good pictures. Recorded tapes look great too. Even with SONY VCRs, I was really impressed with the playback quality of the EP recordings. I've noticed that black and white film shot in EP format looks better than film shot in SP format. This device features flying erase heads for hassle-free editing. The remote control is great, many functions. If you have a SONY TV, this remote control will also come in handy. I really like this VCR.
