Cute little shelf with hooks, looks better than alternatives and doubles as wall decoration when not in use. The manufacturer was able to greatly simplify the installation. The holes on the back of the item are at different distances left and right from each other and are not aligned with the sections they are in (one in, one out). ). The measurements don't seem to be exactly inches or centimeters. The instructions say "Drill holes in the wall using the spacing template." However, what they supply is a paper tape measure with no particular markings. Another reviewer who decided to make his own stencil by rubbing holes on paper was a lot smarter than me. I did it using measurements and arithmetic to center it but it was a bit painful. I recommend starting with small nails to hang it up to ensure you position it correctly before moving on to the dowels and screws provided. If only the manufacturer had provided the actual template, this would have been much easier. Mine is plastic, not wood. I don't mind, but others probably will. Also, there is a small screen with Umbra logo printed on the left side, which is useless and inconvenient. It has to be a sticker and therefore optional, otherwise you have to tolerate it or try to black it out with a pen. I can't remember ever going into someone's house and wondering what brand the distributor of their hangers or side tables was.
