This is a complete retail box with all manuals and installation instructions. Switches are a hassle to install, but they're less of a pain when they still have all the proper installation instructions. This switch works great, has less switching resistance than the older part of the 3500 series and I am completely satisfied with it. Just be careful when installing - the black paint scratches VERY EASILY and the set screw that separates it from the seat tube - I made the mistake of unscrewing this screw all the way during installation and when trying to thread it back in it never could find threading properly, so I basically had to stick it in until it spins itself. Not perfect, but the switch works perfectly and the adjustment screw still works. Recommended.
