I will use it to make small holes in the felt to make it easier for the yarn needle to go through the felt. I tried it on fleece. Although it makes tiny holes, they are very difficult to see. I had to stretch the fleece a bit before I could crochet the holes. If you want to crochet the edge of a plaid or blanket I wouldn't recommend this. This will definitely tire your hands and it's a guessing game of how far apart the holes should be. I would recommend a cutting tool specially designed to poke holes in your wool with a special blade on your rotary cutter. The soft handles are very comfortable. Remember that these holes are very small.
